The Knowledge Exchange Lead must understand and determine the Knowledge Exchange Acceptance Criteria required to achieve the Knowledge Exchange objectives (e.g. how will we assess that new staff are at the required level of knowledge; how will documentation be approved; etc.). There should also be a mechanism to assess if the criteria is met. These must be agreed by Delivery Manager.
Typically the Knowledge Exchange Acceptance Criteria will include:
· Percentage of Knowledge Exchange sessions completed Vs planned
· Level of Knowledge Exchanged– based on feedback from SME and Knowledge Exchange Recipients
· Ticket handling capabilities
· Level of documentation shared
· Quality & level of agreed documentation created (TOD)
· Test or presentation of knowledge gained at the end of foundation Knowledge Exchange.
The Knowledge Exchange Lead must ensure the Skills Matrix is updated to identify target levels for achievement. Using the details from the current state knowledge assessment, combined with the criticality/stability/complexity assessment, this task is about agreeing on the criteria required for the overall Knowledge Exchange objectives to be achieved.
Following the development of Knowledge Exchange Acceptance Criteria, an assessment mechanism needs to be developed to evaluate the progress of Knowledge Exchange. A review mechanism needs to be established to review and analyze the results of the assessment. In case the results are not satisfactory, corrective actions need to be put in place immediately. Any known risks, gaps or new/updated assumptions must be documented. These should be reviewed in Validation phase to ensure the proper mitigation strategies are in place and the assumptions are still valid.
